The best part, palak adds a lot of nutrition to the Puris too as it is rich in iron and also contains a lot of other Vitamins and Minerals. So, it was surely a win-win situation for me.

  1. It's 1 bowl of wheat flour (Aata).
  2. It's 2 tsp of gram flour.
  3. It's 6-8 of spinach leaves.
  4. You need 2 of green chillies.
  5. Prepare 2-4 pieces of garlic.
  6. Prepare 1 of small piece of ginger.
  7. Prepare 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds.
  8. It's 1/2 tsp of red chilli powder.
  9. It's 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder.
  10. It's 1/2 tsp of carom seeds.
  11. You need As per taste of Salt as per taste.
  12. You need as required of Water for dough.
  13. You need as required of Oil for deep frying.

I wanted to avoid poori, so made it as roti with the same dough, I have done this a lot of times before with the left over dough after making palak poori for Aj. I was thinking of making palak paneer too, but Aj was not in mood of eating. Palak Kadhi is the most popular Indian main course dish cooked with fresh spinach leaves, curd and besan curry. Palak kadhi is served with chapatis, poori and rice.

Palak poori with lots of Iron instructions

  1. First wash the spinach & chopped roughly..
  2. Take mixer jar add chopped spinach, chopped green chilli pieces,ginger piece,garlic pieces along with cumin seeds & little bit of water to form a puree so grind well..
  3. Take big bowl add wheat flour add gram flour add red chilli powder, turmeric powder,carom seeds & salt mix all ingredients then add grinded green palak puree in it mix well to form a dough through water..
  4. When dough is ready keep aside for few minutes..
  5. Heat the heavy bottom pan add oil in it for deep fry in low flame..
  6. Meanwhile put some oil in hands & take small portion from dough & make all poori on flat surface..
  7. When oil is heated deep fry all pooris well..
  8. Serve hot with chutney or sauce or pickle..
  9. For kids tiffin along with sauce it's perfect combination for healthy meal..
