Ingredients of Sprouts Kadhi
- Prepare 1 cup of Mixed sprouts.
- It's 11/4 cup of low fat yogurt.
- Prepare 13/4 cups of water.
- You need to taste of salt.
- You need 2 teaspoon of oil.
- Prepare 1/2 teaspoon of cumin seeds.
- Prepare 1/2 teaspoon of mustard seeds.
- It's 1/2 teaspoon of grated ginger.
- It's 1-2 teaspoon of finely chopped green chilies.
- Prepare 2 tbsp of chopped coriander leaves.
- You need 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric.
- It's 3-4 tbsp of besan/ rajgira flour.
- You need 2 of red chilies broken.
- Prepare 1/4 teaspoon of red chilli powder.
- Prepare 1 pinch of hing /asafoetida.
Sprouts Kadhi instructions
- Heat oil in pressure cooker.
- Splutter mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
- Add red chilies, ginger and hing. Saute for few seconds.
- Add green chilies and saute for few seconds, add in sprouts.
- Add spice powders, 1.5 cups water and salt. Mix well.
- Pressure cook for 3-4 whistles over medium heat until done.
- Meanwhile whisk yogurt in a bowl.
- Add remaining water and besan. You can add other gluten free flours too in place of besan for making it more nutritious.
- Whisk well until well combined and lump free.
- Once steam is naturally released, open the lid.
- Add in whisked yogurt mix and mix well over low medium heat.
- Simmer and cook for 15 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
