Ingredients of Sprouts Kadhi

  1. Prepare 1 cup of Mixed sprouts.
  2. It's 11/4 cup of low fat yogurt.
  3. Prepare 13/4 cups of water.
  4. You need to taste of salt.
  5. You need 2 teaspoon of oil.
  6. Prepare 1/2 teaspoon of cumin seeds.
  7. Prepare 1/2 teaspoon of mustard seeds.
  8. It's 1/2 teaspoon of grated ginger.
  9. It's 1-2 teaspoon of finely chopped green chilies.
  10. Prepare 2 tbsp of chopped coriander leaves.
  11. You need 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric.
  12. It's 3-4 tbsp of besan/ rajgira flour.
  13. You need 2 of red chilies broken.
  14. Prepare 1/4 teaspoon of red chilli powder.
  15. Prepare 1 pinch of hing /asafoetida.

Sprouts Kadhi instructions

  1. Heat oil in pressure cooker.
  2. Splutter mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
  3. Add red chilies, ginger and hing. Saute for few seconds.
  4. Add green chilies and saute for few seconds, add in sprouts.
  5. Add spice powders, 1.5 cups water and salt. Mix well.
  6. Pressure cook for 3-4 whistles over medium heat until done.
  7. Meanwhile whisk yogurt in a bowl.
  8. Add remaining water and besan. You can add other gluten free flours too in place of besan for making it more nutritious.
  9. Whisk well until well combined and lump free.
  10. Once steam is naturally released, open the lid.
  11. Add in whisked yogurt mix and mix well over low medium heat.
  12. Simmer and cook for 15 minutes.
  13. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
