Aloo Sabji and Poori. Aloo Sabzi & Poori - Many North Indians Weekend Break fast. Aloo Poori is a North Indian breakfast-lunch recipe.'Sabji' is a spicy, aromatic and tangy potato dish. This is served with puffed up, deep fried Indian bread 'Poori'.
My last week was good and productive too.
Usually, aloo puri is made for breakfast but you can have it any time of the day.
Mostly it is made on weekends as it is a heavy meal and you won't feel like working after having it.

Ingredients of Aloo Sabji and Poori
- It's 5 of boiled potatoes.
- It's 3 of tomatoes puree.
- You need 2 tbsp of oil.
- You need 1.5 tbsp of grated ginger.
- You need 2 of slit green chillies.
- Prepare 1/2 tbsp of cumin seeds.
- Prepare 1 pinch of hing.
- It's 1.5 tbsp of red chilli powder.
- You need 1 tbsp of turmeric powder.
- It's 2 tbsp of corriender powder.
- Prepare 1 tbsp of garam masala.
- Prepare of Water as required.
- You need of Salt as per taste.
- It's 1 tbsp of kastoori methi.
- Prepare 2 cups of wheat flour.
- Prepare 1 tbsp of carom seeds.
- You need of Oil for frying.

Aloo Sabji and Poori step by step
- Mash the boiled potatoes slightly and keep them aside..
- Take a woke and heat the oil into it..
- When the oil is nice and hot add cumin seeds,hing and kastoori methi to it and stir it..
- After that add grated ginger and green chilli to it and stir for 20 to 30 seconds..
- After that add tomato puree to it and add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, corriender powder, garam masala, amchur to it and mix it well for 2 to 3 minutes..
- When tomatoes are completely cooked and dry add the potatoes and water and mix them well..
- Once the water boiled then lower the flame and cook it on sim gas for 10 minutes. Make sure to stir in between..
- Add the corriender leaves and aloo sabzi is ready..
- For poori, take wheat flour, add carom seeds to it and knead a tight dough with water and keep it aside for 5 minutes by covering it..
- Then make small round balls and make small pooris from them with the help of rolling pin..
- Fry these pooris in hot oil in a deep wok until dey are golden and fried. Take them out and soak them on a kitchen paper..
- Serve them hot with aloo sabzi..
Poori masala makes for a good breakfast or lunch or brunch. When I took the pics, I had also made aamras to go along with the pooris. The combo of aamras and any potato sabji with pooris is too good. You can serve potato masala with Poori or chapati or with a side of chopped onions or coconut chutney.
