Ingredients of Kothu Chapathi
- Prepare of For Chapathi.
- You need 2 of Chapathi Dough -for chapathis.
- Prepare 1 tspn of Ghee -.
- Prepare of masala For.
- Prepare 1 of Onion big - sliced.
- Prepare 1 of Green chilli - chopped.
- You need 1 tspn of Ginger-garlic paste -.
- It's 1 of Carrot small - cut into small pieces.
- Prepare 1/4 cup of Cabbage - chopped.
- It's 1/4 cup of Capsicum - chopped.
- Prepare 1 of Potato small - cut into small pieces.
- You need 1/4 tspn of Turmeric powder -.
- Prepare 1/2 tspn of Red chilli powder -.
- You need 1 tspn+1/4 tspn of Garam Masala powder -.
- You need 1 cup of Soya Chunks - cooked and cut into small pieces.
- It's 1 tspn of Soy Sauce -.
- Prepare 2 tspns of Tomato sauce -.
- Prepare of Curry leaves.
- Prepare of Salt.
- You need 1/2 tspn of Ghee -.
But you can also try adding salna or any non-veg kurma curries while preparing kothu roti. I always like dry version, so i just skip curry. This is a delicious and healthy dish. Transfer the kothu chapathi on a plate and serve along with raita or.
Kothu Chapathi step by step
- Take small balls out of chapathi dough.Roll it to a small circle.Apply 1/2 tspn ghee on it and spread all over.Now fold it twice to form a triangle.Again roll in to a thin chapathi.Heat a pan and cook it on both sides.Then cut the cooked chapathi to small pieces.Keep aside..
- Heat oil in a pan.Add sliced onion,saute till it becomes light brown.Now add ginger-garlic paste and green chilli.Saute till the raw smell goes.Now add in the chopped vegetables.Saute for few seconds.Add little salt,mix well.Cover and cook in low flame till the vegetables becomes soft.Now add in red chilli powder,turmeric powder and 1 tspn garam masala powder.Add soya chunks and curry leaves also..
- Add little more salt if needed.Mix everything well,cover and cook in low flame for 5 mints.After 5 mints,add soy sauce,tomato sauce and chapathi pieces.Mix well.Again cover and let it sit in low flame for 2-3 more mints.Finally drizzle 1/2 tspn ghee and sprinkle 1/4 tspn garam masala on top.Give a quick mix and remove from fire.Enjoy hot..
