Ingredients of Carrot  Kurma

  1. It's 2 of carrot peeled and chopped.
  2. Prepare 1 of chopped onion.
  3. It's 1 tsp of green chilly, garlic and ginger paste.
  4. You need 1 tsp of poppy seeds.
  5. It's 2 tbsp of fresh coconut grated.
  6. You need leaves of few curry.
  7. Prepare 4-5 of cashew nuts.
  8. You need to taste of salt.
  9. You need 2 tbsp of oil.

Carrot  Kurma instructions

  1. Wash and peel carrots. Cut into cubes. Once it is done keep aside..
  2. Grind Poppy seeds,green chilli, garlic, ginger, coconut. Add water and make a paste. Keep aside.
  3. Heat oil in kadai When the oil is hot add 1 clove, 2 green cardamom and 1 cinamon stick let it crackle.Fry chopped onion till it become light brown in colour. Then add chopped tomato. Saute it for few minutes..
  4. Add cubed carrots, turmeric powder. Fry it for few minutes..
  5. Add the grind paste, salt and curry leaves. Mix...well.. Cook till the raw smell of masala goes off. Then add sufficient water..
  6. Cover and cook till the the carrot become tender and the gravy is thick. Once it is done. Open the lid..
  7. Transfer to a serving plate. Garnish with green chilly. Ready to serve.....It goes well with poori's and chappati's.
