  1. Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. When they sizzle, add chopped green chilli, ginger, tomato, green peas, beans, carrot, curry leaves, turmeic powder and salt. Saute for a minute or two and then transfer these veggies to a plate..
  2. Take idli batter in a mixing bowl. Add in the sauteed veggies and mix well. Add little salt if not mixed earlier with the batter..
  3. Preheat the appam maker and grease the moulds with little oil..
  4. Now fill the moulds with the batter mix by the help of a spoon. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes on a low flame..
  5. When the appam turns golden brown from beneath, flip the side. Cover again and cook for 2 more minutes. See that the appam gets golden brown from both the sides..
  6. Take out the appam from the moulds and prepare similar appam with rest of the batter mix..
  7. Serve the delicious and mouthwatering vegetable appam hot with coconut chutney, green chutney or any chutney of your choice..
