Masala dosa step by step

  1. Wash and soak parboiled rice,lentil /dal and fenugreek /methi seeds for 4 hours..
  2. Blend all the ingredients together..
  3. Add more water if necessary..
  4. The batter should be relatively thin..
  5. Add salt to it and cover it for 12 hours fermentation..
  6. For stuffing.
  7. Heat oil in a wok..
  8. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds to crackle..
  9. Add onion and saute for one to two mins..
  10. Add soaked chana dal /gram lentil,curry leaves..
  11. Add turmeric powder,red chilli powder,ginger garlic paste and 2 tbsp water and mix well.
  12. Add potatoes and salt and cook for 2 mins..
  13. Garnish with coriander leaves..
  14. Now stuffing is ready..
  15. Heat nonstick tawa to very hot sprinkle some oil till it sizzles and quickly pour a large spoon of dosa batter on it..
  16. Lower the heat put some oil over dosa..
  17. Add potato masala of the dosa..
  18. Wrap it..
  19. Serve them hot with chutney..
