Ingredients of Gur (jaggery) Mithi roti
- Prepare 250 gm of gur / jaggery.
- Prepare 250 gm of wheat flour.
- You need 1 glass of water.
- You need 4-5 tbsp of ghee.
- You need 1 tbsp of fennel seeds.
- Prepare 1/2 tbsp of salt.
- It's 1/4 tbsp of black pepper.
Jaggery / Gur (گڑ) is made from the juice of sugarcane, which is heated to produce thick crystals. It contains sugar in sucrose form and is used in many food products as a sweetening agent. It is considered healthier than refined sugar as certain plant phytochemicals and minerals are preserved in. Gur is healthier than sugar because unlike sugar, jaggery is made with natural processes without chemicals. - In bowl add 1 glass water and gur. Mix and keep aside for 1-2 hrs till all gur dissolve..
- In other bowl take flour, add fennel seeds. Black pepper. Salt. 1 tbsp ghee mix well..
- Now stain gur water.add water in flour accordingly to make soft dough.
- Make same size ball. Make small chapaties..
- Heat the tawa. Put chapati on tawa and shallow fry both side. And apply ghee also.
- Now roti is ready.
