Ingredients of Mohanthal or Besan Burfi
- Prepare of Gram flour (besan).
- It's of mawa.
- It's of ghee.
- It's of milk.
- You need of cardamom powder.
- It's of Some chopped dry fruits like almonds, cashews, pistachios.
- It's of Some poppy seeds for garnishing.
- Prepare of For sugar syrup.
- You need of sugar.
- It's of water.
Mohanthal or Besan Burfi instructions
- In a bowl add gram flour and 2 tbsp of ghee and mix nicely with ur hands..
- Now add 2 to 3 tbsp of milk and knead a dough..Keep aside for 10-15 min..
- For sugar syrup..In a pan add sugar and water and bring to a boil.. and after 2 min switch the flame off..
- Crumble the dough with hands and heat a pan with ghee and roast it till turns little brown in colour...While stirring continuously..(7-8)min..
- Add mawa and combine well and roast for another 4-5 min..
- Add dry fruits, cardamom powder.and sugar syrup and stir till it gets thick in consistency..Or starts leaving from pan..
- Grease a plate with little ghee and pour this mixture into it and spread evenly using a flat spatula..
- Sprinkle some pistachios, almonds and poppy seeds evenly over it and pat it lightly..
- Keep aside or let it cool completely for 1 -2 hours..
- Cut into equal sized pieces of ur choice..
