Ingredients of Moong Daal Modak

  1. Prepare 1 cup of moong daal (washed and dried).
  2. It's 1/4 cup of ghee.
  3. Prepare 1 cup of sugar powder or as per sweetness.
  4. You need 1/2 cup of mawa.
  5. You need 1& 1/2 cup of milk.
  6. Prepare 1 tsp of cardamon powder.
  7. You need 10-12 of saffron strings..(Soaked in little milk).
  8. You need as needed of Pista flakes for garnishing.

Moong Daal Modak step by step

  1. Add moong daal in mixer jar and grind to make powder..
  2. In a pan dry roast the dal for 4 -5 minutes or till it changes it's colour,on low flame..
  3. After that add milk..+saffron milk stir quickly add ghee stir well add mawa, cardamom powder and sugar mix and.Stir continuously till well combined.Cook for a minute and switch off the flame..
  4. Let the mixture cool completely..
  5. Fill the mixture in modak mould and prepare all modak..
