Ingredients of Dink Modak/ Ladoo

  1. You need 100 gm of Dink(gund).
  2. Prepare 2 of Dry coconut shells.
  3. You need 100 gm of Kharek.
  4. Prepare 1/2 cup of Almonds and walnuts pieces.
  5. You need of Dry ginger powder-as per taste.
  6. It's 2 tbsp of Poppy seeds.
  7. It's of Ghee as required.
  8. Prepare 3/4 cup of Jaggery.

Dink Modak/ Ladoo instructions

  1. Ingredients / Preparationfor Dink modaks/ ladoos.Grate coconut shells.Deseed kharek..and cut into small pieces and grind into coarse powder..keep aside..
  2. Fry dink(edible gum/ gund) in ghee.. little- little in ghee.They will puff up.. keep aside.Cool and crushed them roughly..
  3. In same pan..in 1 tsp ghee roastwalnuts and almonds pieces.. remove in plate.In same pan with 1 tbsp ghee.. roast grated dry coconut till brown in colour on slow flame.keep aside..
  4. In big vessel..add grated jaggery,1 tbsp ghee and 2 tbsp ghee..on slow flame..melt.as it melt..off the flame. Mix.
  5. Mix ginger powder, kharek powder,roasted coconut flakes, crushed dink(gund/ edible gum),roasted walnuts and almonds pieces, poppyseeds..mix well..
  6. Take little mixture..give shape of modak or ladoos. Relish/ serve Dink modak/ ladoos..
