Ingredients of Bhetki Korma

  1. Prepare 300 g of Bhetki.
  2. It's 2 teaspoon of vinegar.
  3. You need 1 of Lemon.
  4. It's 1 teaspoon of Jeera powder.
  5. It's 1 tablespoon of Cornflour.
  6. It's 1 teaspoon of coriander powder.
  7. You need 1 teaspoon of chilli powder.
  8. You need 30 g of poshto/khuskhus.
  9. Prepare 4-5 pieces of cashews.
  10. It's 30 g of curd.
  11. You need 1 of small tomato.
  12. You need 1 of large sized onion.
  13. It's 1 tablespoon of Ginger paste.
  14. You need 5-6 pieces of Garlic cloves.
  15. Prepare 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds.
  16. It's 1-2 of bay leaves.
  17. You need To taste of Salt.
  18. It's As needed of oil.

Bhetki Korma step by step

  1. Clean the fish pieces and marinate with half Lemon, salt and vinegar for 30 mins.
  2. Clean the marinated pieces with water and mix with lemon, salt and mustard oil and keep it aside for 15-20 mins.
  3. Put some Cornflour powder on the pieces and fry the pieces till golden brown (egg white also can be used with Cornflour).
  4. Heat some oil in a pan and add Jeera seeds, bay leaves till it crackles.
  5. Add the cut onions and garlic and saute till golden brown. Add Ginger paste and saute till the masala is cooked.
  6. Prepare the poshto paste- grind poshto into a dry powder and mix cashew paste, curd, Jeera powder, chilli powder, salt into this.
  7. Add the above masala into the pan and let it cook for few mins.
  8. Once masala is well cooked add some water and bring it to boil. Add the fried fish pieces to it and let it boil for 5 mins.
  9. Add Garam masala at the end and remove. Serve with Rice.
