Ingredients of Instant Kalakand !!
- It's 200 Gm of Paneer(grated or crumbled fine).
- You need 100 gm of Condensed milk.
- You need 400 gm of Milk powder (Nestle brand).
- You need 1/4 tsp of Cardamom powder.
- It's 2-3 tsp of chopped nuts (Pistachios & Almonds).
- You need 1 tsp of Ghee or butter.
Kalakand is a rich milk cake. one of the popular Indian sweets. The traditional way of making kalakand sweet is a long one and takes some time. The traditional method of making this sweet is very time-consuming. For that milk is simmered till it gets thick and then sour ingredient (e.g. yogurt or alum) is added to make the grainy.
Instant Kalakand !! instructions
- Take a non stick pan,put the ingredients one by one. First add the grated paneer in the pan..
- Then add in the milk powder..
- Lastly pour in the condensed milk..
- Now mix everything well..
- Now switch on the gas, when it gets heated, keep mixing it with a spatula. When it starts cooking it will first look watery. Keep stirring constantly from all the sides or else it will stick..
- This process takes about 5 to 6 minutes.It starts getting thick by this time.Then turn off the gas..
- Put cardamom powder in the pan and mix well.And let it cool slightly.
- In the meantime grease a square tin with ghee or butter and then pour this mixture in it. I used my baking tin here.Press this from the sides evenly with a greased flat spatula..
- Put the sliced/chopped nuts on the mixture and gently press it so that they stick to the sweet and let it set in the refrigerator for about 45 minutes to 1 hour..
- Cut them later into squares and serve the Kalakand to your loved ones..
- This can be made for any occasion..
