Ingredients of Baked Peethiwali Kachori

  1. You need 1/2 cup of Split skinless Green gram soaked(Moong Dal).
  2. It's 1 cup of Refined flour(maida).
  3. It's 2 tsp of Carom seeds.
  4. You need 1/2 tsp of Red chilli powder.
  5. You need 1 tsp of Coriander powder.
  6. It's 1 tsp of Roasted cumin powder.
  7. You need 1/2 tsp of Garam masala powder.
  8. Prepare 1/2 tsp of Turmeric powder.
  9. You need 3 tsp of White Oil.
  10. You need as required of White Oil for brushing.
  11. You need to taste of Salt.
  12. You need 1 tsp of Dried mango powder.
  13. Prepare 1/2 tsp of Chaat masala.
  14. You need 2 tbsp of Fresh coriander chopped.
  15. You need 2 tbsp of Fresh mint chopped.
  16. It's as required of Coriander for garnishing.

Baked Peethiwali Kachori instructions

  1. First Preheat oven at 180°C..
  2. Then heat 1 tbsp oil in a non-stick wok/kadai, then add 1 tsp carom seeds(ajoyan), turmeric powder, red chilli powder and garam masala powder. Mix well, add little water and sauté for a few minutes..
  3. Then add green gram, mix and cook. Add salt, dried mango powder and chaat masala, mix very well and cook till the gram is fully cooked..
  4. Then add in the wok/kadai. Mix well and cook for 30 seconds at medium flame.Then switch off gas stove and cool the mixture to room temperature..
  5. Then combine refined flour, 2 tbsps of oil, remaining carom seeds and salt in a bowl,and add water as require for dough and knead into a stiff dough. Set aside for 20-30 minutes..
  6. Then divide dough into equal portions and shape them into balls. Spread balls into round discs, place a portion of cooked gram mixture, bring the edges together and seal into a round..
  7. Then dust the kachoris with little flour and place them on a baking tray. Then pat them a bit and brush with white oil..
  8. Put tray in the preheated oven and bake for-10-15minutes,and ready for serve...
