Ingredients of Dal Bafla

  2. You need 1 cup of wheat flour.
  3. It's 1/4 cup of rawa.
  4. Prepare 1 tsp of carom seeds.

  6. It's 1 tsp of Salt.
  7. You need 2 tsp of ghee (oil).
  8. It's 1/4 tsp of baking soda.

  10. You need 1 cup of toor dal.
  11. You need 1 cup of Yellow moong dal.

  13. You need 1 of tomato chopped.
  14. Prepare 1 tsp of crushed garlic (optional).

  16. It's 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder.

  18. You need 1 tsp of mustard seeds.
  19. It's 1 tsp of cumin seeds.

  22. You need 6-8 of curry leaves.

  24. Prepare 1 tsp of red chilli powder.
  25. You need 1 pinch of Asafoetida.
  26. It's 1/2 tsp of mustard seeds.
  27. Prepare 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds.

Dal Bafla instructions

  1. Mix the ingredients below bafla section and knead a soft dough and rest for 20-30 mins.
  2. Take small portion and make balls and flatten. Boil 6 cups of water and drop bafla slowly in water one by one. They will float once cooked then slow the flame and cook for another 5 mins.
  3. Take aside and let them cool. Cot to four pieces of each and deep fry.
  4. In a pressure cooker take oil add mustard, cumin, turmeric hing, chilles, onion, tomatoes and saute.
  5. Add cooked dal, salt and cook for 2 whistles. Pour tadka over dal before or while serving.
  6. Ready to serve.
