Ingredients of Sweet Banana Appam
- You need 10-12 of : Small banana (Cheru Pazham).
- Prepare 1/4 cup of Rice Flour.
- It's 1 tablespoon of Maida / All - purpose flour.
- You need 1/2 cup of melted Jaggery.
- Prepare 1/4 teaspoon of Cumin powder.
- Prepare 1/2 teaspoon of Cardamom powder.
- You need 1 pinch of Baking soda.
- You need 1/4 teaspoon of Salt.
- Prepare 1 cup of Oil for Deep frying.
Sweet Banana Appam instructions
- Peel the banana and mash them in a bowl using fork or hand or can blend in a mixie to fine puree. (Banana should be really ripe).
- To the banana puree add in rice flour, maida, salt, cumin powder, cardamom powder, baking soda, melted Jaggery. Mix well with a spoon. The batter should not be too thick nor runny..
- Heat oil in a kadai. Oil should be medium heat. Take spoon full of batter and drop in hot oil one by one. Cook till both side turns golden brown colour. Transfer to a plate lined with kitchen tissue. Repeat the procedure for the rest of the batter..
- The outer part will be crispy and the inner part will be soft..
