  1. Prepare for of dough --.
  2. You need 1 cup of all purpose flour.
  3. Prepare 1/2 tsp of carom seeds.
  4. You need 2 tbsp of butter/ghee.
  5. Prepare to taste of salt.
  6. You need 1/4 tsp of baking powder.
  7. You need as required of water.
  8. Prepare for of filling --.
  9. It's 1/2 cup of green gram (moong daal)(you can take any).
  10. You need 2 tbsp of gram flour.
  11. Prepare 1/2 inch of ginger grated.
  12. You need 1 of green chilli finely chopped.
  13. It's 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds.
  14. It's 1 tsp of coriander seeds (crushed).
  15. It's 1 tsp of Fennal seeds.
  16. You need 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder.
  17. Prepare 1/2 tsp of red chilli powder.
  18. It's 1 tsp of coriander powder.
  19. You need to taste of salt.
  20. You need 1/2 tsp of garam masala powder.
  21. You need 1/2 tsp of dry mango powder.
  22. Prepare 1/2 tsp of kasoori methi.
  23. It's 1 pinch of asafetida.
  24. You need as required of oil.

Mini Moong daal Kachori in Appam Pan(less oily) instructions

  1. First wash and soak moong dal in water for 5-6 hours..
  2. For making dough --In a bowl take flour and add ghee to it, mix well,add salt, carom seeds and baking powder,mix all ingredients well. Add water in small portions and knead a semi soft dough.Cover the dough with wet cloth and keep aside to set for atleast 10-15 mins..
  3. Now strain soaked daal well through siever, add in a mixer jar and grind coarsely..
  4. For making filling -- Heat a tsp of oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, coriander seeds and fennel seeds, saute for few secs.add gram flour and roast for a min on low flame,add turmeric powder, red chilli powder coriander powder, stir add coarsely ground daal and all remaining ingredients,mix well and cook for 2 -3 mins,until dry.Switch off the flame..
  5. Now making kachoris -- Break the dough into small balls.take a portion / ball,spread in your palm,add tbsp of prepared stuffing and close nicely.Fill all kachori likewise..
  6. To roast the kachori - Heat a appam pan, keep the flame low,put some oil in each mould,place the kachoris in mould,put / brush few drops of oil over it too. Cover the pan and check after 2 -3 mins.(cook on low flame)..
  7. Flip all, cover it and cook until golden brown from both sides..
  8. Mini moong dal kachori is ready to serve. serve hot with green chutney (coriander +mint chutney) or with sauce..
