Ingredients of Moong Dal Dhokla
- You need 2 cups of : Split Moong (soaked overnight/6-7 hours).
- It's 1 tbsp of : Green chilli.
- You need 3-4 cloves of : Garlic.
- Prepare 1/2 cup of : Coriander leaves.
- You need 1/2 tsp of : Eno/soda bi carb.
- Prepare 1 tsp of : salt.
- Prepare 1/2 tsp of : mustard seeds.
- It's 1 tsp of : sesame seeds.
- You need 1 tbsp of : oil for tadka.
- Prepare 1 tbsp of : coconut flakes.
- It's 1 tbsp of : ginger.
Moong Dal Dhokla step by step
- Wash and soak dal for good 6-8 hours..
- Grind the soaked dal, green chilli, garlic, coriander leaves, ginger and salt. Add little 1/4 cup water to make a medium thick batter..
- Whisk in the batter well to make it light and fluffy..
- Grease a 9” round plate with oil and place it in a steamer..
- Add Fruit salt/baking soda in the batter and whisk in again for a min..
- Add in the batter and cover and steam for 18-20 mins or u till knife comes out clean..
- Now heat some oil for tampering. Add mustard seeds and let them crackle, add sesame seeds and pour it over dokla..
- Garnish with coconut flakes and Fresh coriander leaves and serve..
