Ingredients of Moong Dal Dhokla

  1. You need 2 cups of : Split Moong (soaked overnight/6-7 hours).
  2. It's 1 tbsp of : Green chilli.
  3. You need 3-4 cloves of : Garlic.
  4. Prepare 1/2 cup of : Coriander leaves.
  5. You need 1/2 tsp of : Eno/soda bi carb.
  6. Prepare 1 tsp of : salt.
  7. Prepare 1/2 tsp of : mustard seeds.
  8. It's 1 tsp of : sesame seeds.
  9. You need 1 tbsp of : oil for tadka.
  10. Prepare 1 tbsp of : coconut flakes.
  11. It's 1 tbsp of : ginger.

Moong Dal Dhokla step by step

  1. Wash and soak dal for good 6-8 hours..
  2. Grind the soaked dal, green chilli, garlic, coriander leaves, ginger and salt. Add little 1/4 cup water to make a medium thick batter..
  3. Whisk in the batter well to make it light and fluffy..
  4. Grease a 9” round plate with oil and place it in a steamer..
  5. Add Fruit salt/baking soda in the batter and whisk in again for a min..
  6. Add in the batter and cover and steam for 18-20 mins or u till knife comes out clean..
  7. Now heat some oil for tampering. Add mustard seeds and let them crackle, add sesame seeds and pour it over dokla..
  8. Garnish with coconut flakes and Fresh coriander leaves and serve..
