Ingredients of Marathi Masala Chicken
- Prepare 500 gms of chicken.
- Prepare 2 of onions.
- You need 1 cup of chopped coconut.
- You need 2 tbsp of oil.
- It's 1 cup of curry leaves.
- You need 1 cup of water.
- It's of For Masala.
- It's 1 cup of Red Chillies.
- You need 1/2 cup of Coriander seeds.
- You need 1/4 cup of Pepper.
- It's 1 tsp of Jeera.
- It's 1/2 tsp of cloves.
- Prepare 1/4 cup of kasuri methi.
- You need 1 tbsp of ginger pieces.
- It's 1 tbsp of garlic pieces.
Marathi Masala Chicken instructions
- Fry Red Chillies,coriander,pepper and jeera for two mins.
- Add kasuri methi, cloves and fry for two mins.
- Grind the above ingredients with 1tbsp of ginger and garlic each.
- Wash and clean chicken. Add Salt and mix well.
- Add the grounded mixture too to the chicken. mix well..
- Let the chicken marinate for 30mins to 1hr.
- Slice two onions and coconut too.. take one cup of coconut pieces and sliced onions..
- Heat 1tsp of oil and sautee onion slices for two to three mins.
- Add coconut pieces and saute for three to four minutes.
- Grind sauteed onion and coconut to a smooth paste by adding little water.
- Heat 2tsp oil in a pan and put curry leaves in it... once they start cracking, add chicken and mix well. Let it sautee for 5 to 8 mins.
- Add onion and coconut paste to this chicken. Mix well..
- Cook the chicken by adding water..
- Keep a lid on and let all the water evaporate. Marathi masala chicken is ready to serve. Garnish with onion..
