- You need 3 of medium sized potatoes (boiled, peeled and mashed).
- You need 2 tbsp of oil or clarified butter.
- Prepare 1 tsp of cumin seeds.

- You need 1 tsp of grated ginger.

- Heat oil in a wok on low medium flame..
- Add cumin seeds, fennel seeds and asafoetida. Saute for few seconds..
- Add in the grated ginger, curry leaves, kasuri methi and green chillies. Saute for few seconds..
- Now add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander powder. Saute on low flame..
- Add grated tomato, saute till oil starts leaving the sides of masala..
- Further add in the whisked yoghurt and give a quick mix..
- Now add 1 1/2 cups water, mashed potato, salt and garam masala powder. Mix well and let it cook for 2-3 minutes on low medium flame..
- Garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot with steamed rice and chapatis..
