Ingredients of Vermicelli Upma

  1. You need 100 gms of roasted Vermicelli.
  2. It's 1 tbsp of Oil.
  3. It's 1 tsbp of Roasted gram dal.
  4. Prepare 1 tsp of Sesame seeds.
  5. Prepare 1 tsp of Mustard seeds.
  6. Prepare tsp of Turmeric quarter.
  7. Prepare 2 of Finely chopped green chillies.
  8. It's 1 of Finely chopped onion.
  9. Prepare 1-2 tsp of Finely chopped coriander leaves for garnishing.
  10. Prepare of Salt as per taste.
  11. It's 100-150 ml of Warm water.

Vermicelli Upma step by step

  1. Take 100 gms of vermicelli and dry roast it on slow flame till golden brown.
  2. Take 1 tbsp of oil in a pan.
  3. Shallow fry 1 tbsp of roasted gram dal on slow flame and remove.
  4. In the same oil add mustard seeds, sesame seeds and let them crackle. Add finely chopped green chillies and onions and a pinch of turmeric and saute..
  5. Add roasted Vermicelli and mix nicely..
  6. Add 100 to 150 ml water to the mix and cover for 2 mins..
  7. After 2 mins uncover the lid and cook till dry. Off the flame and cover again for 2 mins..
