Vermicelli  Upma instructions

  1. Dry roast the vermicelli. Once it is golden brown, allow it to cool down a bit..
  2. Heat oil in a pan and fry few peanuts..
  3. Flavor the peanuts with black salt and red chilli powder..
  4. Mix them well and remove them in a bowl..
  5. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, urad dal, curry leaves, asafoetida, finely chopped garlic, onion, finely chopped green chillies, finely chopped de-seeded tomatoes, green peas..
  6. Cook it for few seconds and later add the vermicelli..
  7. Add red chili powder and black salt..
  8. Add salt to taste..
  9. Add boiling hot water..
  10. Cover it and let it cook for 5 minutes..
  11. Add turmeric powder..
  12. Add coriander leaves and grated coconut..
  13. Upma is ready to serve!.
