Ingredients of Dahi ke aloo
- It's 1 bowl of curd.
- You need 1 kg of buttermilk.
- You need 6-7 of boiled potatoes.
- You need 2 tablespoons of oil.
- You need 1 of finely chopped onion.
- It's 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder.
- It's 1 teaspoon of coriander.
- You need 1 teaspoon of red chilli powder.
- Prepare to taste of salt.
- It's 2 of green chilli finely chopped.
- Prepare 1-2 teaspoon of chopped green coriander.
Dahi is hindi for yogurt and Aloo means potatoes. When potatoes are cooked in tangy and creamy yogurt with few simple spices they become Dahi Ke Aloo. Dahi is Hindi for yogurt and aloo means potatoes. Dahi ke Aloo can be served with Rotis and Parathas, but in Uttar Pradesh it is usually served with Methi Bajra Poori, Kachori or Bedvi Pooris.
Dahi ke aloo step by step
- Add curd and buttermilk in a mixing bowl and mix well.peel and mashed the boiled potatoes..
- Heat oil in a wok,now add chopped onion and saute it..
- Add all spices and roaste for 2 minutes and add mashed potatoes,mix well..
- Now add buttermilk and curd mixture and boiled it..
- Cook on low flame for 10 minutes..
- Now switch off the flame and add chopped green coriander,green chillies..
- Ready to eat yummy dahi aloo.serve with roti..
