Ingredients of Dahi Ke Aloo
- Prepare 5 of boiled potatoes.
- It's 3/4 cup of fresh curd.
- You need 1/4 tbs of Turmeric powder.
- Prepare 1 tbs of coriander powder.
- You need 1 tbs of red chilli powder.
- It's 1/2 tbs of cumin seeds.
- You need 1/4 tbs of kala zeera.
- Prepare 2 of Green chilli chopped.
- You need 2 tbs of green chopped coriander.
- Prepare 2 tbs of oil.
- Prepare to taste of Salt.
Dahi is hindi for yogurt and Aloo means potatoes. When potatoes are cooked in tangy and creamy yogurt with few simple spices they become Dahi Ke Aloo. Dahi Ke Aloo step by step
- Add dry Masale (dhaniya,red chilli powder,green chlliy,haldi)in curd add 1/2cup water and whisk it with laddle and keep aside. Roughly mash the potatoes..
- Heat oil and add cumin seeds and kala zeera.when splutters add whisked masala curd and continue stirring.or curd will curdle..
- Once the boil comes in curd add roughly mashed potatoes and mix in curd.add 2cups of water and let it cook fr 10 to 12 min on low flame till gravy get dense and masale leaves oil and beautiful colour and aroma comes out..
- Lastly add chopped green coriander and serve hot with phulkas or parathes.
