Ingredients of Doodh Puli(Bengali Sweet)

  1. You need 1 ltr of Milk.
  2. It's 1 cup of Rice flour.
  3. You need 1/2cup+1/2 cup of Jaggery.
  4. You need 3/4 cup of Grated or ground fresh coconut.
  5. Prepare 2 tsp of Green Cardamom powder.
  6. You need Pinch of Salt.
  7. You need 1 tbsp of Ghee.
  8. You need as needed of Warm water to knead the dough.

Doodh Puli(Bengali Sweet) instructions

  1. Keep milk to boil in a pan..
  2. Along with that make the stuffing ready..
  3. Take a pan, add a tsp of ghee. Add coconut and stir on low flame for a minute or so..
  4. Add jaggery and cook till the mixture dries..
  5. Now take rice flour add salt, add hot water little by little and knead the dough.Apply a little ghee on it and cover and keep for 7-8 minutes..
  6. Once the mixture is cooled, add a tsp of cardamom powder on it and mix well..
  7. Make small balls of rice flour dough and add the stuffing to it..
  8. The milk now has also reduced we can add these puli in the boiling milk. Keep on medium flame and let them cook..
  9. Once the flour cooks the puli will come up and float..
  10. Now add around half cup of jaggery and rest cardamom powder and again cook till jaggery melts and cooks well. This would take another 5-7 more minutes..
  11. Serve immediately...
