Ingredients of Home Made Sambar Masala
- Prepare of Urad Dal.
- You need of Chana Dal.
- Prepare of Coriander seeds.
- You need of Fenugreek (Methi seeds).
- Prepare of Cumin seeds.
- You need of Mustard seeds.
- It's of Cardamom Green.
- You need of Cloves.
- You need of Coconut powder (Optional).
- You need of Chilies Dried Red (I have used Kashmiri Red ).
- It's of Hing (Asafoetida).
Home Made Sambar Masala instructions
- Dry roast Red Chilies till it turns dark but should not burn..
- Slightly roast the coconut powder till it gets golden..
- Roast All the Dals, Methi, Cumin, Mustard, Cardamom, Cloves and Coriander well till it turns golden brown and you get a nice aroma. Do not overbrown or burn..
- Mix together all the above roasted ingredients and add hing to it..
- Grind to fine powder.
- Store it in an airtight container for upto 4 months..
